About Me and This Site

Webmacster87.info is the official blog/website of Douglas Bell, who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, California (USA), and is currently a senior in high school. When he's not spending his time working on homework or writing college application essays, he is a volunteer and student representative for the San Mateo-Foster City, 17th District, and California State PTA, as well as a member of his school's Leadership Class and Peace Club. Online, he maintains this blog and co-hosts the phpBB Weekly podcast. This blog is home to his rants and ramblings about personal and school life, links and responses to news stories and videos that he's found on the internets, as well as home to a number of his techy and non-techy articles. JoT Flashback: Steve Jobs–Video on the iPod

Remember back in 2004, when Apple said that they were not going to put photos in an iPod, instead opting to release the iPod photo? Well, in July 2005, The Joy of Tech released this comic which was just a prediction then, but now looks totally accurate, now that every single iPod has video in it (except for the shuffle, of course). It’s interesting to look back at it now, 2-3 years later.
