About Me and This Site

Webmacster87.info is the official blog/website of Douglas Bell, who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, California (USA), and is currently a senior in high school. When he's not spending his time working on homework or writing college application essays, he is a volunteer and student representative for the San Mateo-Foster City, 17th District, and California State PTA, as well as a member of his school's Leadership Class and Peace Club. Online, he maintains this blog and co-hosts the phpBB Weekly podcast. This blog is home to his rants and ramblings about personal and school life, links and responses to news stories and videos that he's found on the internets, as well as home to a number of his techy and non-techy articles. Video Grab: “Could the Electric Car Save Us?”

New York Times columnist (and one of my favorite tech reviewers of all time) David Pogue recently filed a report on CBS News about the upcoming comeback of electric cars, as he interviews the creators of the upcoming Tesla Electric Roadster and Chevy Volt, and then even interviews the director of the documentary Who Killed the Electric Car?, which is one of my favorite movies from 2006. Even though I’m turning sixteen tomorrow, I’m not planning to start driving for a few more years, however it’d be nice to be behind the wheel of one of those babies.
