Welcome to the new Webmacster87.info! It looks a lot like the old Webmacster87.info. The same posts, the same design, maybe one or two more fancy features (like page rolling, live searching, and AJAX comments). However, the site is now independent of WordPress.com and hosted on my own shared server hosting. What this means is not only do I now have TOTAL control on what I can and can’t put on my blog, but my blog is now expandable, and you can expect to see some new stuff coming soon to this website.
However, if you have subscribed to my blog, there are new feed URLs for you to memorize. Subscribe to the blog at http://feeds.feedburner.com/webmacster87 and to all comments made on the blog at http://feeds.feedburner.com/w87infocomments and your RSS reader will be back on track.
Enjoy! And stay tuned for new announcements this week!

Testing the AJAX comments. You can never trust AJAX, it’s ability to manipulate pages without reloading gives it a mind of its own…

Congrats. Although it seems WordPress.com served you very well for the time you were there.

Yes. I didn’t leave WordPress.com because I didn’t like it; they run a very good service, it’s very stable, and I continue to run one of my blogs there. I simply moved W87.info off of WordPress.com because I wanted to be able to do things like customize the sidebar, run advertisements, etc., which are things that I can’t do on WordPress.com. I don’t discourage from using their service, in fact I would most recommend it for your blog if you are unable to host your own.
