Folks said it couldn’t be done, but the phpBB team has proved them wrong. After a server failure, and then the unveiling of the new style, phpBB has now officially conquered Olympus and has put their flag on Mars to stay. (It’s also a cute photo!)

I’m looking at getting the Creative MuVo V100 Player for myself for purposes of a cheap voice recorder. The one thing I’m unsure about is whether or not it is compatible with Macs. I’m not so much looking to store/listen to music on it, I just want to use the voice recording capability on it, and wonder if Macs would recognize it as a USB flash drive.
Anyone know?
Glenn Wolsey got a copy of Twitterific 2.0 beta, and here he’s showing off some nice new features and some nice new UI.
Also, pay close attention to the screenshots, and you’ll notice that our very own Laurence Anderson got himself in one of the screenshots! Cool…
Ripped straight off the hard drive. Watch the AppleTV Intro movie here in all its 720p glory.
My opinion: It’s kinda weird.
The following is a letter that I wrote to board members, other members, and a few staff members of the Aragon High School PTSA criticizing them for their efforts to disband the PTSA and establish a PTO. I have been very frustrated with what has been happening this year, and wrote this letter to get all my feelings out in the open.

Very funny YouTube video with a technical support guy teaching someone how to use a book. Tip of the hat to Scott Bade in my English class for showing me this.
I have now upped my meager domain name ownership count to three domains. And even then, only two are for my personal use. I know, in this Web 2.0 world, where so many of us (including Larry) have dozens of domain names, I have been behind. The only domains I own are Webmacster87.info, and 17thDistrictPTA.org. And even then, it’s actually the 17th District PTA that owns that one, I just have it sitting in my GoDaddy account for the time being.
Well, it’s time to say hello to a new domain name, which is going to be the official site for my phpBB Weekly live podcast. If you want, hie thee hence to phpBBWeekly.net! (And you all thought I was planning to register phpBBWeekly.info for $0.99, didn’t you?)
At the moment, that URL simply redirects to the phpBB Weekly information page I have on W87.info, however within a month or two, I plan to set up a dedicated phpBB Weekly information blog which will also allow you to listen to episodes right from the site, without having to go over to TalkShoe! Stay tuned…
And of course, join in live on phpBB Weekly every Saturday at noon EDT. ![]()
And it has a BRAND SPANKING NEW STYLE!
That’s right. The secret style is on the web EARLY, and its name is prosilver, and it is now on phpBB.com!!!
Could phpBB 3.0 RC-1 be coming right behind it? Talk about it on phpBB Weekly, this weekend!
After spending lots of time preparing the perfect playlist for myself including my favorite tracks, I have now uploaded it to the iTunes Store as an iMix. The iMix only includes 22 of the 26 tracks in my playlist–the other four aren’t available on iTunes. (And yes, I know I misspelled “Tracks”, and I’m submitting an update.)
Anyway, if you’re interested, check it out!
I just got back from the Candlelight “We Declare Peace” march in downtown San Mateo, and it was a lot of fun. We had over 120 people there, and we marched throughout downtown with signs and candles. My mom and I were at the front, and she played guitar while the group of us sang songs, and we had lots of cars honk their support. At the end, we regrouped in Central Park where we listened to music and heard the names of Bay Area dead read off. It was a very good event, and I’m glad I went.
Tomorrow, I’m off to Palo Alto to the anti-war rally at the Palo Alto city hall. This is actually going to be my first real anti-war rally, and I’m looking forward to it. Of course, pictures from both of these events will be coming onto Flickr soon.
Sunday is when I’m actually going to be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. I can’t make it to the march in San Francisco due to prior commitments, but my parents and I will be spending the afternoon in Central Park playing Irish tunes in the rose garden gazebo. And Monday, Peace Club will be doing a small anti-war demonstration at lunch.
There will not be a full episode of PreviewCast this weekend, but I’m working on doing an interview for a special edition (SE) episode, which may be coming out early this week. Of course, this Friday will be the live recording of PreviewCast, which may also mean an earlier-than-usual release of #027.
So there’s my weekend (the good parts, anyway)!
